As in the days of Noah

This evangelism booklet draws on one of the Lord Jesus' most striking warnings about His return: "As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man" (Matt. 24:37-39). In those days, people were absorbed in the ordinary affairs of life — eating, drinking, marrying — right up until the moment Noah entered the ark and the flood came and swept them all away. They did not know until it was too late. The booklet shows that the conditions of Noah's day are not just an ancient warning but a mirror of our own time. Violence fills the earth, hearts are turned away from God, and a general indifference to eternal realities prevails. Just as God's patience had a limit in the days before the flood, so His patience in this age has an end. The coming judgment will be sudden and all-encompassing for those who are unprepared. The closing call is both urgent and tender: just as Noah and his family were saved by entering the ark, so today there is one way of safety — entering into Christ through faith and baptism. Those who hear this message and respond will, like Noah, find grace in the eyes of the Lord and be kept through the coming day of God's wrath.
